Masajid International organisation in partnership with the Islamic Cultural Centre organised a one day workshop on: 'The Role of the Mosque', the workshop was held on Saturday 4th June 2016 in the ICC conference hall.

The main aim of the workshop was to review the most prominent issues and guidelines relating to the Mosque and its role from the perspective of the participants who were all imams, directors and people who work within the sphere of Mosque's and Islamic Community Centres.

The outcomes and recommendations of the workshop will be drafted into a guide and reference book for mosques and Imam's to help with the administration of Mosques.

Some of the conclusions included:

• Achieving universal participation among Muslims in determining the responsibilities of all those who work in the mosque, and preparing organised systems and work regulations.
  
  
• Determining the instructions, directions and practical rulings regarding the Mosque.
  
  
• Determining the role of the Mosque and its educational and social message.
  
  
• Opinions and viewpoints of Muslims about issues of the Mosque
  
  
• Challenges that face Imams in playing their role effectively

Many people attended and discussed the above topics and gave positive feedback at the end of the day. Certificates of completion were also given to all participants.
