The Islamic Cultural Centre London Hosts His Eminence Sheikh Dr Saad AlShathry

Tuesday 27 December to Friday 30 December 2016.

The Islamic Cultural Centre was pleased to welcome His Eminence Sheikh Dr Saad AlShathry, a member of The Board of Senior Scholars and a Member of the Permanent Council for Scholarly Research and Fatwas in Saudi Arabia from Tuesday 27th December 2016 to Friday 30th December 2016.



On Friday 30th December 2016 the Friday Sermon was delivered by His Eminence Sh AlShathry on The topic of ways in which we can become closer to Allah - SWT. His Eminence elaborated on the pertinence of having pure intentions and God Conciseness, patience and giving charity in the way of Allah - SWT in linear to achieving closeness to Allah - SWT. The Khutba was held in the Islamic Cultural Centre with over 4000 worshippers. His Eminence was welcomed by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Nawaf Al Saud - Ambassador of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques and Trustee of The Islamic Cultural Centre alongside Director General Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan.



His Eminence Sh AlShathry also conducted a series of lectures over a period of three days from Tuesday 27th December 2016 to Thursday 29th December 2016 in the Library of The Islamic Cultural Centre. The central theme of the lectures was on Islamic Jurisprudence with the first lecture covering Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, the second on Rulings of Islamic Jurisprudence and the final day on Theory of Islamic Jurisprudence. The Lectures where attended by over 100 Imams, Heads of Mosques and Islamic Centres and also students of Islamic Studies in London.



Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan payed tribute to His Eminence Sh AlShathry for his invaluable lessons and teachings on Fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence and his time at the Centre. His Eminence Sh AlShathry concluded his final lecture by stressing to the attendees in the field of Dawah that they played a prominent role in representing the religion and are ambassadors of Islam in The United Kingdom. His Eminence wished them all the very best in their resolute approach in the field of Dawah and finally expressed a few words of gratitude to Director General Dr. Al Dubayan and The Islamic Cultural Centre for hosting the lectures.
