HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom visits the Islamic Cultural Centre in London:
This visit comes after the attack on the Centre's Muezzin last week to check his health and to view the Centre and activities and services which it offers.
The Director General of the Islamic Cultural Center, Dr. Ahmad Al-Dubayan received his Royal Highness and gave a presentation on the Centres' activities during the visit.
His Highness the Ambassador spoke on the role played by the Centre in the United Kingdom in the religious, social, cultural and educational fields and in the field of dialogue and interfaith and closer relations between Muslims and other communities, and contribution with the institutions of British civil society.
HRH the Ambassador and his colleagues were given a detailed explanation about the Center's programs and its method of work, in addition to being briefed on the brochures, publications and seminars held periodically within the Center.
His Highness the Ambassador met with the Center's employees, consultants and advisors and reviewed their most important achievements and toured the library, the permanent Islamic exhibition, the green project for environmental protection, the wisdom project for youth, training courses and other various programs of the center.
His Highness met with Sheikh Raafat the Muezzin of the Center and he was assured of his health and wished him a speedy recovery. His Highness also gave a speech in which he thanked the employees and urged them to take care of the common good and serve the community and introduce the tolerant message of Islam that is subject to misunderstanding by non-Muslims and Muslims alike.
Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan - Director General and staff thanked The ambassador for his visit and showed special gratitude especially that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided and still provides a lot of care for several decades to this important Islamic Cultural Center in the heart of the capital city London.
