From time to time the London Central Mosque Trust & the Islamic Cultural
Centre will be seeking to fill positions, across a range of disciplines, through
open competition. When we have vacancies, they will be advertised in either
the local job centre, press or the appropriate specialist press as well as
appearing on this website.
Post (TEMPORARY POST): Nursery Nurse ( £7 per hour
)
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual
care and development for children placed in the Day Nursery.
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Manager.
- To give support to other personnel within the Day Nursery.
Main Duties:
- Assist the Manager in providing effective day to day management of the
Nursery according to the set policies and procedures.
- Assist the Manager in setting and implementing objectives and policy for
the Nursery within the framework of the Management committee.
- Perform the duty of the teaching and supporting the children’s learning
and development to the best of their ability; with the objective of all children
according to their individual ability achieving the aims of being healthy,
staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making positive contributions and achieving
economic well-being.
- Work along with the team for the day to day management of the Nursery,
facilitating good practice by the nursery team with regards to individual
and group work with children.
- To work alongside parents/main carers of children with special needs to
achieve full integration within the Nursery.
- Liaise with support parents/main carers.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and training sessions outside working hours.
- Undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of
the snack meals, cleaning of equipment, wash dishes, maintain toilets, cleaning
fridge, arranging toys and equipment in the storage area, etc.
Requirements:
- Role Nursery Nurse.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Minimum experience 3 years in early years setting.
- Must be familiar with delivery of FYFS in early years.
- Must be good with children and passionate about children/child care/ and
her role as working with children.
- Must work as a team and under her own initiative.

Post (Voluntary): Experienced volunteer Teachers are required
to teach Tahfeez (Memorisation) of Al-Qur’an to Children ( age 5-8 and 9-12
)

Applicants must:
- be allowed to work in the UK.
- be able to work within a team and have good communication skills.
- have sufficient knowledge about the rules of Tajweed.
- have memorized some parts from the Holy Qur'an
- consider deeply this work for the sake of Allah and to help the children of the Muslim community.
