The Islamic Cultural Centre's Weekend School Teacher Training Programme
20 December 2015

The Islamic Cultural Centre's Al-Qalaam Weekend School organised an internal teacher training programme on Sunday 20th December 2015 at the King Fahad Academy.

All 24 teachers took part of the event and benefited from the following seminars:

- Behaviour management, child protection and health and safety in the school.
- Maximising achievement and managing challenging behaviour.
- Practical lesson about the spelling rules of Hamza and the rules of numbers.

The main purpose of the Al Qalam Weekend School is to help young students who study in public schools to have an opportunity to also study Arabic and Islamic Studies.

Al Qalam Arabic School has 325 Students with fifteen classes: Three Reception Classes, three Year 1, two Year 2, two Year 3, two Year 4, one Year 5, one Year 6 and one GCSE Class.

The staff list is made up of 24 people:
- 1 Head Teacher
- 15 Teachers
- 7 Learning Assistants
- 1 Admin Staff
