The Islamic Cultural Centre & London Central Mosque & Union of Muslim Organisations held an Islamic Conference on 'Loving the Prophet' (pbuh)

The conference was split in to two sessions and had opening speeches from:

- His Excellency Mr. Khalid Rashid Al-Hamoudi Al-Mansouri
  Ambassador to Embassy of the State of Qatar & Chairman of the board of trustees at The Islamic Cultural Centre

- Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan - Director General of the Islamic Cultural Centre

- Mr Ali Qureshi - Secretary General of UMO

Guests attending the conference in London also included Mr. Faisal Al-Holy representative of the Embassy of Kuwait , 2 members of the Turkish Embassy in London and a representative of the Embassy of Yemen. All 3 countries are also members of the board of the Islamic Cultural Centre.

The Chairman welcomed the conference and explained how it is important to remember the Prophet and his extraordinary manners in this modern life and how important it is to bring back the values in our education and our children lives. He also said that we should all do our best to give to charity and to always strive to better our character in the light of the prophet (pbuh) through kindness, humility, understanding and forgiveness and that we should all exemplify and promote all the virtuous actions of the prophet (pbuh).



The first session had presentations by Sheikh Khalifa Ezzat - Head of Religious Affairs and Imam at The Islamic Cultural Centre on 'Loving the Prophet... What does it mean?' followed by a presentation by Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan on - 'Companions of the Prophet...Who are they? & How we should see them?'

After lunch the second session included talks by Sh. Shahid Raza Naeemi OBE on 'Biography of the Prophet an Aspiration for our Present Time' and Sh.Tahir Shahabdeen 'The Prophet (PBUH) as presented in the Quran'.

Both sessions were followed by a Q&A session and in the closing remarks it was stated how important it was to hold such events and promote the positive role that the Prophet (pbuh) set out for humanity.
