Preass Release
Condemnation of Saudi Bombings
5 July 2016 2015
The Islamic Cultural Centre & The London Central Mosque Trust condemn in the strongest possible terms the bomb attack in the city of the Prophet, Madina - Saudi Arabia.
Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan - Director General said "This attack on one of the most holiest sites for Muslims is clear evidence that terrorism and violent extremism has nothing at all to do with Islam. I believe that we need to give more attention to the social environment in which the young generation live today to stop those who are vulnerable from being used by radical extremists."
The attacks have taken place towards the end of the month of Ramadan when Muslims from all over the world are busy in fasting and worship preparing for Eid celebrations.
The terrorists have purposely attacked innocent people at a religious time and in a very holy place to maximise pain and suffering and all of us must stand together in solidarity not only to condemn this act of barbarism but to also join together to fight terror wherever it may be.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those who have sadly lost their lives and we stand shoulder to shoulder with our Saudi brothers and all countries in the world in this war against terrorism.
May Allah accept those martyrs who have given their lives fighting these terrorists.
