HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom visits The Islamic Cultural Centre.

London Central Mosque was honoured to host HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud, the Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom, during his official farewell visit to the Centre.

Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan - The Director General of London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre warmly welcomed His Excellency and expressed heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering support of both the UK's Muslim community and the Mosque itself during his tenure. Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan highlighted the strong historic relationship between the Islamic Cultural Centre and the Saudi Embassy, saying that the Centre was originally built in the 1970's with a generous donation from His Majesty King Faisal of Saudi Arabia and later in the 1990's His Majesty King Fahad of Saudi Arabia donated for the development of the administration wing. Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan ended by talking about a shared commitment to developing and working in the future to promote greater community cohesion through education and shared community services.

All Mosque staff, supporters, and advisors were present at the gathering to pay tribute to the Ambassador's service and his enduring contributions to fostering positive relations and community development.

In his address, HRH Prince Khalid thanked London Central Mosque for its continuous efforts in serving not only the Muslim community but also the wider public through its programmes and services. He also praised the Centre as a role model for mosques and Islamic centres across the world and expressed his hope that cooperation would continue and deepen in the years ahead.

Several attendees also spoke, offering their thanks and appreciation to the Ambassador for his dedication and engagement during his time in London. As a token of appreciation, the Director General presented HRH Prince Khalid with a crystal award before the event concluded in a spirit of goodwill and mutual respect.

The London Central Mosque extends its sincerest appreciation to HRH Prince Khalid and wishes him success in all future endeavours.
