World Arabic Language Day Celebration 2025
27 - 29 December 2025
The London Central Mosque & The Islamic Cultural Centre in cooperation with Tajoora Ltd organisation arranged a 3 day celebratory conference from 27 to 29 December 2025, in celebration of the UNESCO's Arabic language day.
The activities included an Exhibition on the curricula of teaching Arabic & Islamic studies for non-Arabic speakers.
There was also an Arabic Calligraphy & Arts exhibition In Chinese style, under the title: The Divine Beauty of the names of Allah by calligrapher Samar Farooq.
The opening ceremony started with Recitation from the Holy Qura'n by the student Mu'min Ibrahim Mu'in.
The opening speech was delivered by the Head of Education Mr Ahmed Limam, he spoke about the importance of celebrating the Arabic Language Day and the efforts of The Islamic Cultural Centre in serving the Arabic language.
Lecture delivered by the Director General, Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan, under title: The British Orientalism and its efforts in serving the Arabic Language.
Dr Saddam Alhmoud gave a lecture on the current state of teaching Arabic Language in Britain today.
Dr Mohamed Mutleq also gave a lecture on the authorship of Arabic curricula for non-native speakers; from theory to functional application.
After the main speeches, Dr Ahmad introduced the calligrapher Samar Farooq and her work and then opened the exhibition.
