As part of the programme, Dr Al Dubayan had the honour of chairing Plenary Session I, entitled:

The Geographical, Social and Family Environment that Influenced the Formation of Imam Al-Bukhari's Personality

The session explored the historical, educational and social influences that shaped the life and scholarship of Imam Al-Bukhari, whose monumental work Al-Jami' As-Sahih remains one of the most authoritative collections of Prophetic traditions in Islam.

Highlights from the Conference

The conference opened with Qur'an recitation, a special presentation film and welcome addresses from distinguished international guests, including:

• Sheikh Salih bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Chief Imam of the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, Makkah.
• Dr Salim M. AlMalik, Director-General of ICESCO.
• Senior representatives from the Government of Uzbekistan.
• Leaders of the Muslim World League, the International Islamic Fiqh Academy and the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

• The historical and social environment that shaped Imam Al-Bukhari.
• Scientific methods for verifying the authenticity and classification of hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari.
• Rare manuscripts of Al-Jami' As-Sahih preserved in international libraries.
• The contribution of scholars from different countries to the study, preservation and promotion of Imam Al-Bukhari's legacy.

Among the notable contributors was Professor Muhammad Akram an-Nadwi, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge, alongside recognised researchers and academics representing leading universities and research institutions from across the Muslim world.

Dr Al Dubayan's participation reflects the London Central Mosque Trust & Islamic Cultural Centre's continued commitment to promoting authentic Islamic scholarship, strengthening international academic cooperation and supporting initiatives that highlight Islam's rich intellectual heritage and its enduring message of peace, tolerance and enlightenment.
