London Central Mosque's - Feeding those in need project

During Ramadan this year the Islamic Cultural Centre and The London Central Mosque started a food project to feed those in need during these difficult times.

The aim was to provide food and essentials to people experiencing hardship and crisis, with its main focus being on communities across central, north and northwest London.

Due to the pandemic it was not possible for community members to attend the Centre to collect food so we made a plan to partner with North Paddington Food Bank who are managing the logistics and delivering food to residents and providing halal meat specifically to Muslim community members.

The packages contain a core of long life food and essentials with fresh fruit and vegetables, bread ready meals and other products which vary based on what is supplied from food surplus organisations, Halal meat such as Chicken is also supplied as well as baby products where needed.

To date we have delivered food for 6,200 days.

The Islamic Cultural Centre has established the Commission to guide Muslims in the UK.

Matters relating to religious issues aswell as solving complex inheritance (Mirath) cases, marriage, divorce and islamic arbitration.



As we adjust to life in lockdown, many vulnerable in our community need help to get essential supplies. Our staff and volunteers are delivering every day, may Allah reward them and keep them safe.
