Sadaqa Day

Sunday 18th March 2018



On Sunday 18th March 2018, Annual Sadaqa (Charity) Day was celebrated at the Islamic Cultural Center with the Mitzah Day and the Sadaqa Day.

Children from Muslim and Jewish Schools made dozens of get well soon cards for the sick children in hospital.

Representatives from over 8 synagogues across London and Mosques also participated.

The children and all other participants brought non-perishable food such as small packets of rice flour, spaghetti, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and canned foods.

Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan welcomed everyone and explained the meaning and the importance of Sadaqa (Charity) in Islam.

Together we have successfully collected approx. 270 kgs of food for the local food bank.
