Law Society Eid al-Fitr Celebration 2018

Friday 5 July 2018

The Law Society in corporation with the Association of Muslim Lawyers (AML) celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Friday the 29th of June 2018.

Eid al-Fitr is an important religious festival in the Muslim calendar that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid al-Fitr celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. In recognition of this, the Law Society hosted an event which combines its religious significance with the positive impact of Muslim lawyers in the profession.

Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan, Director General of Islamic Cultural Centre and the London Central Mosque was the key note speaker to discuss the importance of Ramadan and Eid. Following the talks, there were entertainment and networking.
