Saturday 3 April 2021

The Islamic Cultural Centre & The London Central Mosque was converted into a Covid19 Vaccine Centre today with a number of Vaccine stations in the main foyer directly infront of the main prayer hall.

Director General Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan said "It is very important to be involved in the vaccine campaign and we are looking forward to working with Wesminster council and medical teams to deliver the best healthcare possible to the community"

Local Member of Parliament Karen Buck MP and London Assembley Member Murad Qureshi attended the opening of the vaccine centre. Karen Buck MP said "It is great leadership to have London Central Mosque become part of the solution to the pandemic which has caused alot of harm to the community over the past year"

Last year the Islamic Cultural Centre held a virtual event regarding Conspiracy Theories and Covid in partnership with the Home Office in which there were over 170 participants. Dr Dubayan said "we welcome this initiative and look forward to more sessions which have been planned based on the success of this mornings vaccine programme here at The Islamic Cultural Centre."

The Islamic Cultural Centre has arranged a special event on Thursday 8 April 2021 live from the Mosque's main prayer hall after Maghrib prayer (8.15pm) Titled "All you need to know about the Covid -19 Vaccines" with Dr Muhammmed Umar Ebrahimsa, specialist in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine.
