ICC's Shaikh Faid attends the 34th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Sh Dr Faid Mohammed Said Imam and Secretary General of The London Central Mosque & Islamic Cultural Centre's participated in the 34th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt upon the invitation of Professor Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Awqaf and President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
This year's conference was titled Cyberspace and Contemporary Means of Religious Discourse between Good Use and Deviating from the Correct Message. The conference, attended by over 200 scholars from across the world, was an important opportunity to discuss the contemporary challenges faced by Muslims.
The participation was covered by national TV channels and quoted in leading print media. Sh Dr Faid concentrated on 3 important concepts;
- Training and preparing the scholars and Imams who are representing the message of Islam. In this part, Dr Faid recognised the effort made by the Ministry of Awqaf, especially training scholars not only in religious affairs, but also in cultural & humanitarian studies, computer science and physical sport. Dr Faid also expressed his hope for cooperation between Muslim ministries and organisations internationally.
- Understanding the concept of the message and how to address people. Allah, the Most High, said to RasulAllah (SalAllahu Alayhi Wasalam) call to your Lord with wisdom and the best of statements. If the Prophet (SalAllahu Alayhi Wasalam) who was praised by His Lord (Subhanu wa Tala) was to be commanded by Allah to use the best of statements and wisdom, the concept of the message should to be according to the needs of the community including their individual differences
- To concentrate on the people who receive the message, to understand their background and to address their needs and issues following the teaching of Islam. Dr Faid talked about the need to make the masajid a welcoming environment and a hub for people.
Dr Faid thanked the Minister of Awqaf for his invitation, and the Republic of Egypt, its leadership and its people for their generousity and hospitality.
