His Majesty King George VI's Lord Lieutenant of Greater London Visits ICC

The Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, His Majesty's representative of Greater London visited The London Central Mosque & Islamic Cultural Centre.

The Lord-Lieutenant was welcomed by the Director General Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan and senior staff members of the Centre.

A presentation of the activities and services provided by the Centre to the wider society was given which was also followed by a guided tour of the newly refurbished Library and Exhibition halls.

Dr Dubayan also spoke about the History of the Islamic Cultural Centre and that His Majesty King Charles III's grandfather King George VI granted the land of the Royal Parks to establish the London Central Mosque & Islamic Cultural Centre in 1944.

Dr Dubayan presented The Lord-Lieutenant with a book highlighting the contribution of Muslims during the First World War written by Luc Ferier
